Peplo Release New Single on September 25th

Following their well-received live session at Glasgow Universitys QMU, Peplo will release their new song Just to Get to You on September 25th.

Forming in 2018, Peplo is a Glasgow based four-piece that cuts classic pop songcraft with an alternative edge. Theyve shared stages with the likes of Meursault; Jonnie Common; Hailey Beavis; and En Attendant Ana. The bands sound has been described as "lofi, dreamy, and lush" by The Unsigned Guide, while their music has drawn comparisons to "Dolly Mixture, Marine Girls, and C86" (Rats on the Run) as well as "The Cranberries or 10,000 Maniacs but with added complexity and muso appeal" (Storm the Palace).

Just to Get to You comes hot on the heels of Peplos second single, Katarinas Got My Tongue - which was hailed as "the perfect dreamy summertime anthem" with "an utterly addictive chorus" (The Music Files). Katarinas Got My Tongue was shortlisted for Fresh On The Nets Listening Post, where it was voted for by several listeners - including Tom Robinson, who subsequently played the track on his BBC Radio 6 Music show BBC Introducing Mixtape.

Just to Get to You is the bands most ambitious recording project to date, teasing the dynamic arrangements of Peplos forthcoming EP - due to be released in the final quarter of 2020.
