GOAN DOGS (BBC R1/INTRO ‘ONES TO WATCH 2021’) RELEASE NEW SINGLE AHEAD OF UK TOUR

Following on from the release of their debut album ‘Call Your Mum’, GOAN DOGS release ‘I Don’t Want To Fight’ ahead of their UK Tour. The band’s debut album includes previous singles, ‘I Can’t Sleep’, ‘Shut Up’ and ‘Drinking On A School Night’ that gained heavy recognition from BBC Radio 1 gaining Jack Saunders’ Next Wave and landing ‘Ones To Watch 2021’ on the Radio 1/BBC Introducing Show. Their tracks have also landed airtime from the likes of Lauren Laverne & Chris Hawkins on BBC 6 Music, as well as repeat plays on Radio X from John Kennedy
among many, many others.

‘I Don’t Want To Fight’ carries the band’s musicality to the next level, taking their melodic yet psychedelic hooks to a climactic and truly
otherworldly peak. It’s ‘Pyramid Stage’ worthy. But until ‘Worthy’ Farm returns for such optimistic events, this tune must be heard, turned up and
absorbed across the airwaves. Speaking of ‘I Don’t Want To Fight’ singer Luke says, "Have you ever got to the point where you’ve been having
a go at each other for so long you can’t even remember what you were having a go at each other about? That’s the time where you have to stop and ask yourself “how did we get here?” And maybe say “I love you. I’m tired. I don’t want to fight”
GOAN DOGS bring their own brand of warped guitar pop, laced with infectious hooks and irresistible grooves. Ten years on the scene, their stunning live shows and self-released material have gained them a loyal following throughout the band’s evolution.

GOAN DOGS was conceived in 2010 by lead singer Luke St Leger and drummer, Daniel Lane. A coming of age trip to India provided the band name when Luke became gripped by Goa’s stray dog population. The duo soon expanded their sound with the talents of friends: Theo Mackie, Bill Sherwood and Sam Kynan Powell.
