The band have played Tuts a number of times and will again take to the stage after 2 memorable sell outs, including the launch of their debut single on the famous venuess label, King Tuts Recordings last August.

After a successful 2009 that has seen the band release 2 singles, an EP, appear at festivals and perform countless gigs around the UK. The band have started 2010 off with a bang by performing 3 shows in London in February, whilst also playing a number of shows in Scotland with Vertigo Records latest signing - Kassidy. Between these gigs the band have been in the studio laying down the tracks that will make up their debut album scheduled for release in the summer. The Ray Summers are confirmed to play Rockness and Liverpool Sound City already this year with more festival announcements to follow shortly.
The Ray Summers saw in 2009 with Paolo Nutini and Idlewild in George Square. They then went on to release their first EP in April with a full UK tour to mark this including a date at the Camden Crawl. Sessions followed on Radio 1, Northsound, TayFM and various student stations.
The Summer saw them taking to the stages at T in The Park, Rock Ness, The Edge, Wizard, Hinterland, Liverpool Sound City, Go North, Electric Bay and Perth Music Festivals
King Tuts Recordings released debut single The Shepherd in August and it charted at number 8 in the Scottish charts outselling Beyonce!
In The City In Manchester asked the band to play 2 shows, both ended up rammed and have been good for the bands profile.
2nd single Zagora road was released in November with a show at Glasgows Oran Mor. On the same night the band played a special full band acoustic set that shows the amazing talent this band has.
