Glasgowmusic newsletter 260410-020510

Hello! Hows it going?

I am just back from a great weekend in Manchester, what a great city. I’ve been many a time and always enjoy it. Great venues and clubs, such a great vibe to the city. The Ray Summers were playing Factory, thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Im looking for bands who have own PA and can do covers. (nothing too heavy or off the wall, mainly tunes people will know 60s through to modern day) then please get in touch telling me a little about yourselves.

After my announcement last week that I will be DJing Rockness I can I announce that I will be scouting for Warner Chappell Publishing in Scotland.

The Ray Summers announce festivals / get on Sky One and win £100, 000 / The Blogs take to promoting and DJing / Reviews

Thursday nights at the Brass Monkey feature new music from Glasgow and beyond. Loads of new Scottish artists will be featured alongside new music and other great tunes I like. It kicks off at 8pm. I also have my Friday night residency in the same venue playing classic rock& roll and indie. BANK HOLIDAY SPECIAL – I am also in the Brass Monkey from 8pm on Sunday night!

Also each Friday in the same venue sees me play some classics.

I am looking for some Event Management work at the moment, if you have anything at your venue/festival or looking for a tour manager please get in touch to see if I can help out.

***If you have any news stories/giveaways/etc you would like added to next weeks newsletter please email them to (also feedback on the newsletter is much appreciated!) [email protected] Please mention if you saw anything in the newsletter please

I am hopefully going to be switching over to a new mailing list format soon; you can sign up for that one here  www.glasgowmusic.co.uk/mailinglist.html

www.glasgowmusic.co.uk REVIEWS + EVENTS + FEATURES

I have now got a team of reviewers out and about in the venues of Glasgow and on their Stereos reviewing your music. If you have a gig/EP, upcoming single wanting a review please get in touch and I will see who is available.

Not far off launching the site now. I am hoping to have something online in next couple of weeks.

I want to move onto the next stage of building up the website’s content and need event promoters to get in touch and add your events to the site. The site is going to be used to promote live music and club nights in Glasgow so please get in touch if you want to add your events. The site is very easy to use and I will lead you through it.

If you have anything you would like featured (cool news story etc) then you know where to get in touch.
