Hello hows things?

I have a number of DJ gigs in July I would love to tell you about. Hopefully you can make it along to one / some / all of them.

- HORRORSHOW at THE BRASS MONKEY From 8-12 every Friday I will be playing a mixture of rock and roll and indie. Tunes from Talking Heads, ACDC, Beatles, Kinks, CCR, Stones, Hendrix, 50s right through to present day, Expect a mixture of old and new indie, rock n roll and electro. Requests welcomed as it’s your night out!
Good music in good surroundings with good drinks and most importantly good people - what more could you want?

- I am very excited to announce I will be playing the Soundhaus this coming Saturday night alongside live sets from Any Color Black, The Statler Project and Nevada Base. Very excited about this lineup that also includes an electro/subliminal techno DJ set from Jim McC

- I am also looking forward to playing the Pinups Festival again! Sonny Marvello, Mitchell Museum, Futuristic Retro Champions are playing live. Aswell as myself DJing, Scott Paterson (Sons & Daughters), Remember Remember, The Fabulous Craig Brothers also share the Turntable duties.

-Then its to Kendal Calling festival to play the wonderful House Party. There will be beds to jump on, ornaments to break, booze to pilfer, the wardrobes and chests of drawers are loaded up with clothes nthat, theres dresses to put on and therell even be cheese and pineapple on sticks. By day theres the Wii in the living room, you can get a massage in the bedroom, tea and biscuits in the kitchen and The Wasted Little DJs will be doing hair and make up to keep you looking your best. Weve even go a string quartet and our old friend Howard Marks will be stopping by for a special breakfast. By night itll all go a bit more crackers with some of our friends coming along to play their favourite records. Problems with noisy neighbours will be eliminated as well finish each night with a silent disco. Just dont be sick in anyones garden. DJ sets from Bez, Same Teens, Mr. Sushi, Tramp!, Luke Unabomber, Up The Racket, Clique, Jack B, Arlo, 44, Dave Haslam, Liam Quinn, Twisted Wheel, Rich Reason, The Murkage Cartel, Juicy, The Wasted Little DJs, Rick Cee, Good Vibrations, Deep Fried DJ, Dermo, Whitenoisefeedback:distortion and some extra special guests.

Craig McGee DJ – Summer 2010

After successful residencies started this year at the Brass Monkey in Finniston, Craig has played storming sets at T in the Park, Rockness and venues across Manchester including Eurocultured Festival and in the Umbro design HQ as part of their world cup programme. He has just been announced to play at Kendal Calling also at the ‘House Party’

Aswell as the Major Scottish festivals, gigs in Manchester including venues such as Soundcontrol, Umbro’s Design studio, Apotheca, Joshua Brooks alongside a gig on a farm for Orange Rockcorps it has been a busy summer for McGee

Craig has booked DJS to play at T in the Park the last 3 years and recently in Manchester booked the DJs for all the projects that were part of Orange Rockcorps. He sourced a number of DJs to play at over 40 projects Manchester wide as part of Rockcorps volunteer experience.

Craig will be making a return to Glasgow at his Friday night Brass Monkey residency and will be featuring as part of a new monthly Saturday night in the Soundhaus

Craig believes that his laptop is for checking emails and sticks to CD’s and vinyl! A love of music from the 50’s to present day and growing up in the ‘iTunes generation’ ensures his love of all types of music including indie, rock & roll, electro, chart and pop meaning a very varied playlist in every set.

Venues

Craig has played at Scotlands National Stadium ‘Hampden Park’, Celtic Park, the world famous Barrowlands, Academy, ABC, Buff Club, King Tuts to name a few and many many more across Glasgow, Scotland and the UK.

Notes to editors

-Craig has now played T in the Park 4 times. This year set in the Red Bull area saw him play to thousands of campers. He has also graced the main stage (Between Bloc Party and Arctic Monkeys) and the King Tuts stage (to 12000 people)
-Other festivals he has played at include Rockness and Wickerman
- Summer 2009 saw him play at Irn Bru’s Clan Can event where 10000 people danced to his tunes before an attempt at breaking the world ‘can can’ record. The Zutons shared the bill
-Craig has been asked to DJ at official after parties of Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Dirty Pretty Things, He has also shared decks with Mani (Primal Scream/Stone Roses), Bez (Happy Mondays), Carl Barat (Dirty Pretty Things), plus more
-in 2006 Alan McGee (Creation Records/Discovered Oasis) asked Craig to DJ and curate the bill for his infamous ‘Death Disco’ night.
