ALAN MCKIM CONFIRMED TO PLAY LIVE-SCENE TOUR

Community coffee house and music venue Beanscene announce precocious song writing talent Alan McKim to play seven day Live-Scene tour of Glasgow, Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Stirling, Hawick, Ayr and Kilmacolm.

With a number of sold-out solo gigs, a support slot with Suede’s Brett Anderson and a regular play on Vic Galloway’s show under his belt, self styled Alan is perhaps the most modest performer that an audience will ever meet.

Alan McKim comments – “life is a journey, not a destination. independent of what you’ve done or what you plan to do, the only thing that matters is what you’re doing right now, and that youre doing the best you can”

After spending the last few months writing new material Alan is keen to get up close and personal with his audience in an earthy, passionate and acoustically driven lyrical liaison.

Alan McKim comments – “playing live is my greatest passion in life, and Im particularly excited to be performing my material in an up close and intimate setting. This will hopefully give the audience a chance to really feel what I felt whilst writing the songs, providing an emotive connection sometimes lost in bigger venues"

Beanscene - who have seen in store performances from the likes of Chris Difford, KT Tunstall and last month from rising star Carrie Mac - had all but forgotten its musical legacy in the last few years but is making brave steps towards reinvigorating its roots in a bid to become the destination for live music, art & culture.

Aaron McIvor, Spokesperson for Beanscene Scotland Comments – “To think of who we’ve had playing in our stores over the years is to see why the Beanscene name retains it bohemian lure. The future for us is very much to perpetuate this – not only as a venue that wants to keep its customers entertained but also as a business that wants to develop talent by keeping it fresh and surprising”

Alan McKim releases his next EP “What I know now…Changes Everything” in the autumn.
