I have decided to open up my website to someone who is looking for experience in writing reviews and also in the PR side of the music industry.
The ideal candidate will have experience in writing reviews, overseeing teams of people and ideally will have various press contacts and also a great knowledge of the Glasgow music scene.
I am looking for someone to:
- Source new music and live gigs for review
- Add regular fresh content to the website
- Build up press and PR contacts
- Look after a team of reviewers and offer guidance on writing
- Source new reviewers/writers for the website
- Work closely with local live music scene and give coverage to bands from Glasgow
-Also someone with a great knowledge of Glasgows live and club scene and is into many types of music genres would be ideal for this role.
This role would be perfect for a student looking to get into Music Journalism or someone looking to bolster their CV for a career in music
Role will not be paid however will build up your contacts in the printed and online press industries, develop writing skills and will also lead to lots of free music and gig tickets.
This experience could also count towards the work experience that many music courses are now asking for.
