Hello, how are you?

Its been a busy couple of weeks hence lack of newsletter, (Exams, Celtic Connections etc) now judging by the amount of stuff coming up its going to be a busy few weeks!

I will be doing my second A&R Zone session on BBC RADIO 1 in Scotland this coming Sunday night. Ally McCrae will be on between 12 and 2 into Monday morning, I will be on around 1230 with 2 tracks I have chosen. I think you can still listen to the show I was on BBC iPlayer on the 17th January where the wonderful PAWS were in session.

I will be running acoustic nights fortnightly in Brel starting on the 10th Feb. Line-ups are yet to be confirmed however I am looking for Acoustic singer/songwriters, Acoustic bands, stripped down bands, electronic artists or other acts interested and are away from full drum kits.

I will be returning to DJ action at Stirling’s FUBAR on Thursday 17th February.

goNORTH will take place in Inverness on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th June 2011. They are delighted to announce some exciting changes to this year’s event. After five successful years supporting new music at RockNess, goNORTH will go back to its roots in 2011 and support new music at some of the best independent festivals in the country, including the award-winning Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, The Wickerman Festival and Loopallu. There will be no stage at this years’ Rockness Festival. There is an opportunity now for bands to tour all 3 festivals if they submit via goNORTH’s website. More details below

A SOUNDCLOUD MEETUP GLASGOW is happening on the 9th Feb at Stereo focusing on the cities music scene. There will be a networking and showcase event in Stereo between 8 and 12 preceded by a creative workshop at the Scottish Music Centre from 5. www.glasgowmeetup.co.uk

TRAFFIC CONE RECORDS is running an Alternative Burn’s Supper at Pivo Pivo on February 3rd at Pivo Pivo. The night will unite punks, poets, rappers and rockers performing live. There will be a piper, a free haggis dinner but it will be far from traditional. Expect the unexpected from an eclectic mix of Scotland’s best talent doing a modern day take on a legend.
