Read More Glasgow based recording artist Alan McKim last night found himself a new fan in the shape of the Estonian President Toomas Hendrik. As the opening night of the third annual Tallinn Music Week, an industry showcase festival, got under way with a stirring line-up of new artists from around Europe, McKim, the only British act involved with this years festival, not only stole the a packed out opening show, but especially excited Mr Hendrik who was in the audience.
The president marvelled as McKim delivered an empassioned performance, commenting after the show: “ The Scottish guy I have to admit was much more interesting than say David Grey, even though the chord progressions were sometimes quite similar. He is an exciting artist none the less”
McKim is signed to new London based indie label, Telescopic Baby.
Alan will be playing solo at the Brass Monkey Finniston this coming Sunday from 4pm (after Scotland vs Brazil). The Brass Monkey will be launching their new cocktail menu and there will be Cheese and Wine available to buy
