So…..? It is T in the Park this weekend? Excited? Who you going to see?
Talking of festivals, you should check out this documentary about SXSW that was aired on BBC on Tuesday night. There are some excellent bands in the film.

SOUNDCLOUD EVENT – APPLE STORE

The Apple store on Buchanan Street will feature the first worldwide Apple Store/ SoundCloud event, hosted by Dave Haynes (SoundCloud VP Business Development), at 6pm on Thursday 7 July.
Other panellists are myself, Craig McGee (www.glasgowmusic.co.uk), Craig Moog (DJ/ remixer/ musician), Esa Williams (Electronic record label boss/ producer/ promoter) & Cat (Aerials Up).

After it at 7pm Aerials Up are playing a live set, then it’s to MacSorleys for drinks! OH and its all FREE (except the drink)

CHAMBRE69

Chambre69 officially opened last Friday. The burgers went down a treat as did all the live music we had on. Our SURPRISE guest was LEE MAVERS (THE LA’S) the place was jumping. I am hoping for a few more secret/last minute announced shows in the coming weeks and months.

This week I have BOOTLEG WONDERLAND playing soul, motown and funk from 6to9 for free. Come in and try the proper burger – 2for1 !

The Japanese Popstars are playing on the 29th July and ‘an evening with’ The Cuban Brothers is on the 19th August. Tickets are available from Ticketweb and Tickets Scotland

I am keen to speak to more promoters too about using the venue for live music, club nights, art shows, exhibitions, clothes shops, business meetings. Anything goes. If you are looking for a home then let me know. Please check out www.chambre-69.com
