Hello, how’s it going?

I write to you on a train home from London. I was down to see Primal Scream at Wembley Arena for Orange Rockcorps. Their set was outstanding. It was however followed by P Diddy, and what a Diddy he is, funniest thing I have ever seen live, I started to feel sorry for him and his ‘show’

Last night was the turns of FRIDGE MAGNETS at Death Disco, what a performance, crowd were going crazy! Lots of stories from the few days including skinny dipping in Hyde Park and being invited onto prime ministers question time…

FRIDGE MAGNETS, DISCOPOLIS and the LITTLE KICKS are playing the Captains Rest on Saturday 16th July – DO NOT MISS THIS!

Thanks to everyone who came along to the Soundcloud event at the Apple Store last Thursday, was good fun and very informative.

Stay tuned for an EXCLUSIVE BIFFY CLYRO INTERVIEW coming up from a festival in Norway. Hopefully will have that next week

DJ

I have just been offered a fortnightly residency on a Friday night in the GARAGE starting in August.

I will also be DJIng in new club STAIRWAY on Saturday nights. I start on August 6th. I will also be playing the 3rd and 24th September. I will be looking at ideas for bands on these nights too, will let you know more in due course.

CHAMBRE69

Come along to Chambre69 this Friday for some proper burgers, Bier and a live show from THE BIRD DOGGERS! I was blown away by them when I saw their live show recently.

The Japanese Popstars are playing on the 29th July and ‘an evening with’ The Cuban Brothers is on the 19th August. Tickets are available from Ticketweb and Tickets Scotland

I am keen to speak to more promoters too about using the venue for live music, club nights, art shows, exhibitions, clothes shops, business meetings. Anything goes. If you are looking for a home then let me know. Please check out www.chambre-69.com

This Sunday July 17th ‘AUCHENTOSHAN Presents….’ A party at the Black Sparrow. The national tour kicks off in Glasgow this Fair Bank Holiday weekend. Each Sunday begins at 4pm with an Auchentoshan whisky tasting, which is anything but traditional; consumers will taste three key expressions of Auchentoshan with aficionados from the Distillery, trying it with chocolate and also mixed as a long drink with fiery ginger ale and a wedge of orange. As the whisky tasting ends, the music unfolds with nomadic collective Thunder Disco Club, Jacques Renault, Biliy Woods and Rory Bicep. www.auchentoshan.com
