Hello, how are you?

Cheers to everyone who came down to the Vintage fair at Chambre69 last Saturday then over to my DJ set at Stairway.

Right on with the news – Opportunities for bands and writers below…

WANT A GIG?

I am looking for Full bands for Chambre69 on weekly / mainly Thursday nights for a new night I am going to start in September.

I am looking for stripped back / acoustic acts / electro acts to play at the Black Sparrow on Thursday nights – same format as the events I was recently running

Also I am looking for artists to play the Oxjam Music festival on the 22nd October. Please register your interest for charity (Glasgow based/nearby)


OPPORTUNITY

I am now looking for a new LEAD REVIEWER. If interested in overseeing a team of reviewers, having writing published on a site that has over 3500 hits a month, sorting out free gigs and music, then please get in touch. This is a voluntary position

In other DJ news, I start my fortnightly residency in the Garage on August 26th. I will be in the Attic upstairs, playing a mixture of Rock & Roll and Electro! I have guest list for this, please get in touch any time you would like to come along!

A number of INDEPENDENT LABELS have been affected in the recent riots in London. Please support these labels by buying digitally or via Independent shops. For those who missed it - COLIN HUNTER is arranging a REAL BATTLE OF THE BANDS in AYR! From the press release “As much a part of a fledgling musicians career as learning how to talk nonsense to cover for the third string-breakage of the night or playing in front of two men and a dog, Battle of the Bands nights have become a part of our gig culture.
“Havent you wished that, just for once, a Battle of the Bands would really live up to its billing and become a real battle?
That is exactly what is about to happen in Ayrs Citadel Leisure Centre on Saturday, October 1 – ‘3Rounds 20Clowns’ – a REAL battle of the bands.
They are looking to recruit 20 band members to take part (Full headgear will be provided) its not about knocking out opponent, all for a bit of fun!
