Hello, how are you?

There is lots of news to get through this week again. There are loads of opportunities for free / cheap gigs and music from local Glasgow bands! Read on for full info!

Firstly some news about DJ and live gigs I am involved with.

THE OXJAM GLASGOW TAKEOVER will happen on the 22nd October. Venues for this years festival are G2, Bloc, Box, The Griffin, Buff Club & Sleazys with 1 still to be announced

The first batch of bands to confirm are Aerials Up, Baldego, Binary Zero, Café Disco, Echofela, Fiction Faction, Gillian Christie, Kith & Kin, Rose Parade, Skippy Dyes, Sonic Hearts Foundation, Stuntman Mike, The Corleones, Tragic O’Hara, Two River, Vigo Thieves & Will Hanson

CHAMBRE69

* THE CUBAN BROTHERS are playing live on Friday 19th August – Tickets are selling fast and there are some available at Ticketweb and Tickets Scotland PLUS 50 tickets left at Bier Halle Gordon street. There will be a CUBAN BROTHER PRE PARTY at the Bier Halle from 8pm. Special pizzas will be made up and Krystal beer and special cocktails will be on offer!!!!! I am keen to speak to more promoters too about using the venue for live music, club nights, art shows, exhibitions, clothes shops, business meetings. Anything goes. If you are looking for a home then let me know.

GARAGE

I start my fortnightly residency in the Attic in the Garage as of the 26th August. I will be playing Electro and rock n roll. I’m basing this gig on festival sets I have done in the past. Email over requests for tunes. Also I have UNLIMITED guest list if you would like to come along!? Let me know!

STAIRWAY

I will be DJing Stairway on weekly Saturdays come the start of September, I am very excited about this as I really enjoy playing to a club crowd. Expect a mix of Indie, Rock n Roll and electro. BLACK SPARROW

I have booked a couple of shows into the Black Sparrow for Free entry Thursdays. I am still looking for more
September 8th sees Raymond Hackland, Jono plus Brown Bear & the Bandits.
September 22nd sees Louise Cairns, Gillian Christie and Rebecca Wallace take to the stage.

WANT A GIG?

I am looking for Full bands for Chambre69 on weekly / mainly Thursday nights for a new night I am going to start in September.

I am looking for stripped back / acoustic acts / electro acts to play at the Black Sparrow on Thursday nights – same format as the events I was recently running

Also I am looking for artists to play the Oxjam Music festival on the 22nd October. Please register your interest for charity (Glasgow based/nearby)


OPPORTUNITY

I am now looking for a new LEAD REVIEWER. If interested in overseeing a team of reviewers, having writing published on a site that has over 3500 hits a month, sorting out free gigs and music, then please get in touch. This is a voluntary position
