Due to a major IT issue with my computer unfortunately I have lost all my archived emails, I am hoping that my good friend can get these back over weekend for me. So if your news hasn’t been added this week please resend to me.

The annual Scottish Music Awards – the Tartan Clefs will take place this year on Saturday 19th November at Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket. What started as a fund-raising lunch for the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland charity, has seen artists from Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, Paulo Nutini and Wet Wet Wet to Nicola Benedetti and Annie Lennox all winning coveted ‘Tartan Clefs’.
As part of a series of new moves celebrating 15 years of the charity operating in Scotland, organisers have announced a new Emerging Business Award launched in association with goNORTH

THE SMIA are pleased to announce that they are hosting a presentation and networking event in partnership with I Like The Sound Of That for the Featured Artists Coalition and MMF next Friday, the 18th of November.
The Featured Artists Coalition campaigns for the protection of UK performers and musicians rights. They want all artists to have more control of their music and a much fairer share of the profits generated in the digital age. They speak with one voice to help artists strike a new bargain with record companies, digital distributors and others, and are campaigning for specific changes.
The MMF UK is the largest representative body of Artist Management in the world. They have over 400 members, representing over 1000 of the most successful acts on the planet. Their emphasis is on implementing positive actions to assist their members with a keen eye on the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.
