Cheers to all who attended the Yorkhill fundraiser last week in the Grosvenor Café. They raised over £2500 for Yorkhill Childrens Foundations.

- MARK COPELAND & THE WOUNDED PIRATES are playing PRESTFEST and heading to support Tommy Reilly on Sunday 5th August. Let me know if you would like tickets for this.

The Proclaimers are all set to release their new single "Whatever Youve Got", out August 13th. The single is taken off their latest album "Like Comedy", out now through Cooking Vinyl.


There has been a big shakeup for Glasgow venues recently. The CAPTAINS on Great Western Road will now be moved to where THE LOCAL was situated on Sauchiehall Street. The HUG AND PINT will open in the former site of the Captains.

PRESTFEST Prestwick is a Community Festival run by volunteers and funded by individuals, local businesses, pubs & restuarants who took ads in our brochure and who are paying hourly rates for a variety of acts throughout the Festival Weekend. With no money from the public purse or any major funding bodies sought, that makes this Festival, all the more remakable! We have arguably the most vibrant High St in the West of Scotland , A weekend fo Free Access acoustic acts and bands from Friday 3rd Aug & Sunday 5th august, including Little Fire, John Rush, The Merrylees,, Johnny McAuley, Johnny Barr, Scot Nicol, Madison, Onzlo, The Statler project, Inferno, The magic lantern, Tricky fingers, Stramash, The iFoundation, Nika, Francesca Kimberley, Peter Quinn, Andy McNeill, Stevie Dunlop, Ben Ellis, Splash Tetra, Graeme kerr, Inferno Anna Sweeney, Ally McGilloway, Ian James & The Sound,, Marie Collins, Emma Brockett, Craig Ward and many more.

Christine Bovill who has a music show in Edinburgh this festival called PAIF got some amazing news!!!
The man Charles Dumont who wrote “No Regrets” for Edith Piaf herself is flying in from Paris to perform the song on stage with her.
Pretty amazing... Christine’s a good Glasgow girl and this really is a wee bit of musical history, show be an incredible show in a cool venue, The Famous Spiegeltent. Total sell out last year and 5 stars from The Scotsman.
