Hello, how are you?


It is with deep sadness I need to start todays newsletter with the news that the Scottish Music industry has lost a friend. Steve Broadfoot has passed away this week. A huge and inspirational figure who always had time for everyone.
Steve started the Earplug company Lugplugs - hearing protection to prevent people from Tinnitus or going deaf. You can read more about it at www.lugplugs.com

**REKODERLIG #SPIRITOFSUMMER

Fresh from DJing and curating a lineup of DJs at Foodies Festival all weekend I have another great weekend planned. Thanks to Martin Law, Euan Neilson, Dahl and Dirty Marc or their excellent sets in Edinburgh.

This Weekend Rekorderlig Cider (UK) are taking over 29 Glasgow with DJ sets throughout the weekend from Myself, Ally McCrae, Prides, Martin Law and Euan Neilson!

Tickets cost £10 and include a Rekorderlig Cider, three new flavour samples, three Swedish canapés, plus an exclusive gift and photo memory of the night.

CHARITY VARIETY NIGHT

Woodside Halls, Glasgow on the 23rd August.

Looking for Singers/Bands/Dancers/Tribute Acts/Comedians/Magicians

Staff at Glasgow Sport HQ have been holding various fundraising events to help their colleague Stephen White who is bravely battling cancer.

After several successful events and donations to The Beatson Cancer Institute and the Maggie’s Centre at Gartnavel Hospital, the Glasgow Life Futures Fund was created.

The Glasgow Life Futures Fund has been set up to provide support for colleagues who have been off work with illness and have reached the point of receiving no pay.  The money will be used to help towards medical expenses or other financial commitments that need to be met.  Stephen will be the first beneficiary of the fund.

The Variety Night will be the first major event to raise money for the fund.  If you know of any acts who would like to volunteer to perform please contact Graham Diamond on 0141 287 8901 or email [email protected]
