Read More Power couple Meadowlark are up in Glasgow on Friday (6th) for a gig at The Record Factory. Having formed in 2014, their blend of folk and electronica have resonated well in the current musical meta. Both members have had success in previous endeavours with Kate being a youtube ever present, releasing an album and having spent a fair summer or 2 in the golden coast of Los Angeles. Dan was on the creative side, albeit in the directors chair, for videos by Mallory Knox, Lower Than Atlantis amongst many more.
Thankfully they both decided that Meadowlark was their fulfilment and have embarked on a celebrated tour - of more intimate venues - of the UK. Having supported Bastille and others, this is a chance for their own sound to be recognised and enjoyed more so than being just a warm up act. Theyve enjoyed a fair bit of radio play on both Radio 1 & 2 and this will be a good chance to catch them in the intimate surrounding which their music embraces. Keep an eye on GM for the review of the show. Tickets still available on the usual outlets or at the venue itself, The Record Factory, 17 Byers Road, Glasgow, G11 5RD.
