Read More After a near 6 week period without live concerts due to the rapid spread of Omicron, the Scottish Government announced that almost all restrictions will be lifted from the 24th January, marking the return of large events such as concerts to the country.
First minister Nicola Sturgeon told MPs in parliament that she is confident that Scotland is "over the peak of Omicron", and the easing of restrictions will begin on Monday.
The live music sector suffered another blow on mid December where soaring Omicron cases caused a flood of postponements for health and safety reasons, with official bans on large events coming into force on Boxing Day.
However, the recent announcements will be welcoming news for the hospitality sector, especially Grass Roots music venues.
