Read More Glasgows Riverside Festival has today revealed the second wave of artists joining the bill for what is set to be an unforgettable 2022 event. Robert Hood, Helena Hauff, Joseph Capriati, Big Freedia, HAAi, ANNA, Derrick Carter, Chippy Nonstop, Bambounou, Joy Orbison, KiNK and Optimo are amongst the names who will be joining previously announced headliners Charlotte De Witte, Carl Cox and RóisÃn Murphy for a three-day celebration of the best in cutting edge electronic music.
Taking place in the grounds of the iconic Zaha Hadid designed Riverside Museum on Glasgows Clydeside, organisers have worked hard to curate a unique programme of artists that span across the spectrum of electronic music, from international heavyweights to some of the most exciting emerging local talents. Minimal techno pioneer and one half of father-daughter house duo Floorplan Robert Hood joins Thursdays Slam-curated line-up alongside one of the most in-demand DJs in global techno: Hamburgs Helena Hauff. Parisian techno maverick Bambounou has also been confirmed, alongside a rare live set from FJAAK; the enigmatic I Hate Models, Berlin-based purveyor of full-throttle sets Cera Khin and Wallis who is renowned for her merciless live performances.
Italian techno giant Joseph Capriati joins Fridays roster, alongside Brazilian electronic producer and DJ ANNA, whose latest EP Journey to the Underworld was released earlier this month. One of the most prominent names to emerge from the UKs electronic scene Joy Orbison also features, as well as Bulgarian maestro KiNK who will bring his stunning live show and local legends and long-standing La Cheetah Club residents Wardy & Dom.
Renowned DJ, curator and founder of Glasgows number one inclusive and alternative queer party Shoot Your Shot, Bonzai Bonner, has been working closely with RF to curate the Saturday line-up which will be an alliance with the festival and the LGBTQ+ community in Scotland. Bringing a programme of artists that reflects the SYS ethos: a truly anything goes environment more focused on bringing freedom, energy and most importantly the F-U-N of after-parties and raves back into club and festival spaces. The only Scottish club night to be nominated for last years DJ Mag Best of British - Best Club Event, SYS is now firmly established as one of the most outstanding club experiences in Scotland.
Joining Bonzai Bonner on Saturdays stacked line-up is New Orleans rapper hailed as the "Queen of Bounce Music" Big Freedia; the iconic duo behind one of the most celebrated club nights in the citys history Optimo; Chicago house legend Derrick Carter; and former Phonox resident and BBC Radio 1s Essential Mix of the Year 2018 winner, HAAi. Glasgows Junglehussi has also been confirmed, alongside DJ, rapper and incendiary party starter Chippy Nonstop and one of the most exciting breakout stars of the last couple of years, Doncasters India Jordan.
Organisers have also confirmed that, following last years success, the Satellite Stage will be returning to RF22 for the second time. Dedicated to showcasing the diversity and abundance of up-and-coming homegrown talent Glasgow is renowned for, the Satellite Stage will take fans on a journey of musical discovery across the citys flourishing underground music scene.
Dave Clarke, Co-Festival Director, said: "We were lucky to be one of the first festivals back after lockdown last year and the atmosphere was the best ever. And the anticipation for this summers 3 day Jubilee party is off the scale. Since our massive headliners were announced, everyone has been itching to hear who is joining us and the lineup only adds to that tangible excitement. Our team and collaborators are bringing together the most diverse lineup yet with a blend of big names and underground cutting edge talents including as much homegrown talent as we could squeeze in."
Tickets are available now for Riverside Festivals Jubilee Bank Holiday weekender from 2nd - 4th June.
