Constant Follower to play two intimate Scottish gigs ahead of playing official Scottish showcase at Austin’s SXSW next week

Constant Follower are set to play Glasgows Stereo this evening Wednesday 2nd March alongside Edinburgh collective Mt. Doubt and BBC Radio Scotlands Nicola Meighan who will be providing a DJ set. This will be followed by an in-store live session tomorrow Thursday 3rd March in Edinburghs Crew 2000 to raise money for the charity who work to provide harm reduction and outreach services across Scotland.

The Stirling-based quartet released their debut album Neither Is, Nor Ever Was last year to critical acclaim on the legendary Shimmy Disc / Joyful Noise label. Now, the band are preparing to play at one of the most revered festivals in the world: SXSW. However, due to inevitable financial constraints, the band have launched a Crowdfunder campaign to help them get there and reach this vital stage in their career. Fans can purchase a variety of merchandise, as well as book them in for an exclusive private live show, with all funds raised going towards Constant Followers SXSW journey.

The SXSW Scottish showcase itself will be hosted by Scotlands Music Convention Wide Days with support from Creative Scotland, and boasts a line-up spanning a cross-genre spectrum of emerging Scottish talent. On Thursday 17th March from 8pm - 2am, Constant Follower will be playing alongside Georgia Cécile, Hamish Hawk, MEMES, Parliamo and Walt Disco in the inaugural edition of the Scotland at SXSW stage at the festivals Swan Dive Patio venue, which follows a set at St Davids Bethell Hall venue on 15th March from 7pm - 7:40pm.
