Ice Cube to perform his first Glasgow show in almost 3 decades


Glasgow this year has enjoyed some of the greatest hip hop artists gracing the stage at the OVO Hydro, acts such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Wu Tang Clan and Nas stopped by at Scotlands largest city to perform live.

Now, Ice Cube is about to join the list of hip hop artists that have played at Scotland premier music venue in 2023.

Ice Cube, real name OShea Jackson Sr., is best known for his hit solo singles such as "Today Was A Good Day", "You Can Do It" and "You Know How We Do It". Before his successful solo career he earned his legendary status during his time with rap group N.W.A, who were ranked 83 in Rolling Stones 100 Greatest Artists of all time.

As a solo recording artist, Ice Cube has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. He also earned a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017 due to a successful career in film.

Cube is about to play his first Scottish show since 1994 and he will also be joined by fellow legends Cypress Hill and The Game at the OVO Hydro on Tuesday 5th December.
