Jessie J - SEC Armadillo 14/04/2026

Dont let the joy go.

Jessie J kicked off with a dramatic yet discreet rear circle entrance off the stage singing - delicately and beautifully - Feel it on Me.

As she finally stepped onto the stage, adorned in a stunning, perfectly fitted long dress in a suitably Scottish tartan, she decided to set out the rules for the night: dont sing if you cant sing, cry if you need to cry, and, most importantly, whatever you do dont shout out "Price Tag"! New music, new Jessie was on the way!

But whether brand new material or the familiar tracks fans can recite off by heart, it was the same warm, authentic Jessie - delighting the audience members with a lovely gesture as one fan came on stage and was lovingly hugged - plenty of love was in the air. The contrast to this came up next as she belted out the more aggressive song, Do it like a Dude. The beat was gentle but the vocals performed with extreme passion, accompanied by laid-back, acoustic vibes. Shortly afterwards, the crowd was accused of being too serious and Jessie moved on to sing No Secrets. The audience clapped along with sweet encouragement to a track from her long overdue new album, Dont Tease Me With a Good Time, as she admitted she hadnt created new material in 8 years. The reaction from her fans suggested it was worth the wait.

A song penned more than 20 years ago, Nobodys Perfect, followed; the message here one of simple tolerance and kindness. You could feel the emotion and care from Jessie as she crooned gently and compassionately.

If I Save You was next, as Jessie walked around amongst the audience, high fiving the audience members whilst maintaining a pitch-perfect vocal performance - a masterclass in multitasking! Expressing that she wanted to feel the love and connect with people, her message was an important one - life is so short, so lets be present and enjoy this! What positive words to accompany a beautiful song. Some more words of wisdom from Jessie: dont be a drainer, be the fountain; dont be negative; hold on to magic; and dont let the joy go. And the crowd duly followed suit - joyfully soaking up the positivity in the atmosphere.

The next song got Jessie through some hard times. She advised the audience to just be yourself - "you be you" she implored. Singing it both to herself and to the audience, she sang the heartfelt Who You Are. The next song was another melancholy number, written amidst the challenges Jessie J endured - her hardship including a miscarriage - Comes in Waves. This threw the whole arena into quiet reflection, as even the usually very vocal Jessie didnt have words for this moment. The setting was dark and serene - as her words became tearful as she described her best friend who took his own life. A tragedy of suffering alone in silence. Her advice: always talk, write and share your sadness.

After that personal and tragic moment, Jessie was ready to move on and back up a gear or two. She started singing the upbeat song, Domino. The audience duly lifted their spirits to sing and dance along. A complete reversal in the atmosphere was signified by brighter, shinier lights - the juxtaposition between two opposite emotions was rarely as stark.

Next, the sassy Jessie J cheekily indicated she wanted to sing to the Plus 1s only and then asked the audience if they had any questions. "How are you?" came back. And her response? After dealing with a new toddler, new county, new album and cancer, she had managed to get through the last year. What an inspiration. Amazing! "I am well" was her final answer to the simple but, in this case, rather loaded question.

The anticipation was building as she neared the end of the show, but before the big hit was sung, there was still a duet between a member of audience and Jessie J to take place. Big White Room was just fabulous! Next, by request from the audience, Throw it Away was performed. So lively, bold and jazzy, it had the audience in a frenzy.

The ever-changing set list once again went awry with Masterpiece. The whole Armadillo audience stood up in unison, waving their arms in the air with enthusiasm! Living My Best Life was next as she ordered the audience to stay spicy! Finally, the unmentionable song everyone was waiting for... Price Tag. The whole audience sang along with sheer delight. A track which has haunted Jessie throughout her career, but also made her the money, money, money! And then the finale, and what a song it was to end with - THE AWARD GOES TO. After an extra few months wait due to the rescheduled show, the audience had fallen in love all over again with Jessie Js spell-binding combination of music, personality, attitude and strength. An emotional rollercoaster certainly, but one imbued with genuine magic!
