The warm up DJ set kept the momentum going all night with a driving bassline that seemed to pulse through the very floor of the venue.
As LCD Soundsystem arrived on stage, the band launched into "You Wanted a Hit and "Tribulations," the energy was palpable. "Tonight, Tonight" had the crowd in a frenzy. Disco balls spun overhead, creating a shimmering, electric atmosphere.

Celebrating 21 years of bringing their unique sound to Glasgow, LCD Soundsystem hinted they might not make it another 21 years, joking it would be sad if they did. Yet, it?s hard to believe that a band that once split up wouldnt be inspired to keep going by the fervent Glasgow audience. Heres to hoping for 21 more years!
When they performed "I Can Change," it felt like a nod to their evolution and resurgence, perfectly suited for their three-night residency at The Barras. This iconic venue should definitely be awarding them a spot in its hall of fame after tonight.
The night was filled with highlights, including "Yr Citys a Sucker" and "Someone Great," both of which sparked the first of many famous HWFG (Here We F***ing Go) chants unique to Glasgow. "Losing My Edge" was a crowd favourite, seamlessly blending into what felt like a tribute to Gil Scott-Heron as everyone screamed his name!

There was a sense of raw, rock n roll energy reminiscent of a Robert Palmer concert as the band powered through their set. The encore was nothing short of spectacular, with "Dance Yrself Clean" sending the crowd into a euphoric state, the bass bouncing and everyone jumping in unison.
Special mention goes to the sets theatrical moments, including a support appearance by Shit Robot, James Murphys best friend, adding a quirky twist to the night. The show culminated in a powerful rendition of "New York, I Love You But Youre Bringing Me Down," leaving the audience buzzing and craving more. Which is what happened as the long intro to "All My Friends" started - the best way to end a three night residency in the world famous venue, with possibly one of thee greatest songs ever written.
In the end, LCD Soundsystems performance at The Barrowlands was not just a concert; it was a full-blown musical experience, a celebration of their legacy, and a testament to their enduring connection with their fans. Glasgow, and the world, can only hope for more nights like this in the future.
