Tom Grennan - OVO Hydro 11/09/2025

Definitely a figure to be reckoned with

Festival season is over as Summer reaches its conclusion, but despite Autumn approaching, the heat remained at the Hydro in Glasgow, as Tom Grennan brought his latest tour to the city for a show that was nothing short of electrifying, the energy was at a peak throughout and it never once dropped.

Grennan opened the show with "Full Attention", a track that immediately set the tone of what was to come. With the stage dominated by his name glowing in bold lights behind him, he and his band launched into a setlist that was a perfect blend of hits as well as newer material. The crowd was a sea of jumping bodies and singing voices for songs like "Higher", "Found What I've Been Looking For" and "All These Nights".

At one point Grennan showed his love for Scotland and explained that it is one of his favourite locations to perform live, with the crowd chanting "No Scotland, no party" back at him, after a while he said "This is the reason why I love this place!, you guys rock!".

The show was a spectacular mix of light, sound and exploding confetti cannons, in contrast to when Glasgowmusic last covered Tom at St Andrews, where the stage set up was quite bland in comparison. The set continued with the likes of "Somewhere Only We Go", "Royal Highness" "How Does It Feel" as well as a cover of Ella Hendersons "Lets Go Home Together".

Before "I Won't Miss A Thing", the second last song of the set, the gig stopped for a while and Tom appeared at the mixer desk "I've had one of the best nights ever, if not the BEST ever!" he said, "Glasgow, we love you!", you could tell he was genuinely loving every minute of it, a sentiment that was clearly mutual. He requested everyone to turn on their phone torches and the venue turned into a sea of light as he performed the song from the mixer.

Tom returned to the stage to conclude an amazing set, finishing off the set with "Little Bit Of Love" with backing vocalist Angel before sending his farewells and his gratefulness to the joyous crowd.

Tom Grennan has solidified his reputation as one of the most exciting and charismatic live performers in the UK music scene. His Glasgow show was a testament to his talent, energy, and the powerful connection he has with his fans, definitely a figure to be reckoned with.
